Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 general elections, Bola Tinubu has said his running mate will come from the Northeastern region of the country.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Tinubu, who is a former Governor of Lagos State, made this known at the APC Governorship rally in Ekiti State on Tuesday, July 14, 2022.
While addressing journalists, he revealed that the vice president’s slot belongs to the Northeastern region and particularly the Christians.
He, however, stressed that consultations are yet ongoing as to who would be decided on.
“The VP slot belongs to the Northeastern region and particularly the Christians, but consultations are yet ongoing as to who will be decided,” he said.
Presidential candidates and their political parties have 48 hours within which to pick their running mates for the 2023 general elections.
