A Nigerian woman, Pastor Funmilola Abraham who got married in March 2001 has shared the emotional story of how she became a mother at 58, after over two decades of trying.
According to Funmilola, the Regional Overseer at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, her journey began with a fibroid surgery in 2002, followed by repeated hospital visits and undergoing the “flushing” procedure nearly ten times—all without success.
In 2019, she tried IVF and got pregnant with triplets, but sadly lost them five months into the pregnancy due to heart-related complications. A second IVF attempt also failed.
After years of heartbreak, she let go and focused fully on her faith and ministry, trusting that God’s will would prevail—even if it meant not having children.
At a crossover service in 2023, she cried out to God once more.
Shortly after, she met a matron who treated her and prayed with her.
Weeks later, she conceived naturally—something she never imagined possible.
Now a mother, she credits her husband for his unwavering support throughout the difficult years.
“Thank God for my husband, he never gave up on me. Even when I told him to go marry another woman, like Sarah did to Abraham, he refused. Today, we’re finally parents. All I can say is, God writes the best stories in His own time,” she said.
