Ahmed Musa marries 4th wife, reason he left Super Eagles camp in London

Super Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa married Asmau Moriki on Friday, being his fourth marriage, the reason he left the team’s camp abruptly in London.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the Nigerian national football team is participating in the Unity Cup, a tournament between nations with large communities in London.

Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium is hosting the 2025 edition of the Unity Cup after a 21-year hiatus.

The first semi-final kicked off on Tuesday 27 May, with Trinidad and Tobago taking on Jamaica. On Wednesday 28 May, two-time Unity Cup winners Nigeria faced Ghana.

TNG reports Musa played for over 30 minutes as a substitute in the 2-1 win against Ghana, which sealed the Super Eagles spot in the final against Jamaica.

However, after the game against Ghana, Musa left the camp of the Super Eagles, citing personal reasons and sparking confusion.

Musa was missing at the training ground on Thursday, as a few other players opted out from the training ahead of the final of the 2025 Unity Cup.

On Friday, reports emerged that the Super Eagles captain tied the knot with Asmau Moriki in a simple but classy wedding in Kano State after leaving the camp.

The wedding was reportedly a quiet ceremony attended by close family and friends.

It was gathered that a post-wedding dinner had been scheduled for Sunday in honour of the Super Eagles captain.

Recall Musa first married Jamila in 2013 but divorced in 2017 after issues tied reportedly to his desire to take a second wife.

Shortly after the separation, the 32-year-old forward married Juliet Ejue. That marriage also collapsed. In 2021, he married Mariam, becoming his third wife.

Meanwhile, the four teams in the 2025 Unity Cup will play again today with a third-place game starting first and a final to crown the champions.

The Super Eagles will lock horns with Jamaica in the final of the 2025 Unity Cup, while Ghana will face Trinidad and Tobago.
