If those jostling to remove the National Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, think they can succeed in doing so, they have another thing coming.
The Deputy Director of Media for the party’s Presidential Campaign Organisation, Hanatu Musawa, stated on Monday that the talk about removing Adamu on exist on the social media.
Hannatu made the clarification when she appeared on Politics Today on Channels Television.
She then went ahead to pass a vote of confidence on Senator Adamu.
“We have full confidence in him and I don’t think anything is going to change in that regard.
“I think most of what you are hearing in the news is not the official position of the party but talks around social media. Most leaders of the party and even the NEC are in support of his leadership.”
Her position comes ahead of the NEC meeting with the NWC members, which political pundits have predicted may decide the fate of the APC national chairman.

She expressed the belief that the outcome of the meeting will have little or nothing to do with Adamu’s removal.
“I think what you are going to see is a vote of confidence on the APC leadership of Senator Adamu as we have no plan to remove him ahead of the election.
“As a party, we want to go into this election united and unity comes from the top. Adamu has been able to navigate the party to where it is today,” she added.
TheNewsGuru reports that many have insinuated that Senator Adamu would be removed as the APC National Chairman in view of the discomfort he has put the party and his obvious partisan role during the party’s presidential primaries.
