Bianca Ojukwu reacts as staff seeks permission to attend ‘his own burial’

Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, has shared the funny message she received from her office staff regarding a funeral request.

The worker had written to inform her that a colleague, Mr. Hyginus Ngum, was seeking permission from the office to attend his own burial.

The message read:

“Good morning Ma. I want to inform you that Mr Hyginus Ngum is seeking for permission from Office to attend his burial. Waiting for your directives, Ma.”

Reacting, Ojukwu expressed his disbelief, questioning what kind of new excuse this was, and asked how it was possible for someone to attend their own burial.

She explained that, due to her absence from her home office, her employees had been making various excuses related to a funeral to avoid work, particularly on Fridays

“How can I frustrate these people today????? They are looking for my trouble. Which one be dis again? So, because I no dey for my home office, na so so excuse them go use funeral take every friday…..my papa come die, my uncle die, my in-law come die, my great grandmother…until this kin Excuse dem transmit today.

“Which one be ‘attend his own burial’???? Nothing Ganiyu no fit see for gate. Anyway, I am waiting. The dead go soon demand for condolence package. Na then im ghost go hear the sound of my closing remarks and my vote of thanks before the end of the funeral ceremony. Lubbish”
