BREAKING: Blackout as National grid collpases again

The national grid being operated by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has collapsed again, plunging the entire country into a blackout.

TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports the national grid collapsed at about 11:48 am today, making the second time this week such is happening, and the 11th time this year.

It would be recalled that the national grid experienced a partial disturbance at about 1;52 pm on Tuesday 5th November 2024.

Following Tuesday’s collapse, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) blamed the rejection of loads by the electricity distribution companies (Discos) for the constant collapse.

Speaking via a statement on Tuesday after the national grid collapsed for the tenth time in 2024 alone, the NOA said the inability of the discos to play their part despite increased generation is responsible for the constant collapses of the nation’s electricity grid.
