The Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) has formally announced the timetable for the forthcoming local government election in the State.
In an announcement this morning, DSIEC stated that the local government election will hold on Saturday, 6 January, 2018.

This is coming within a week after the new board of DSIEC headed by Barr. Mike Ogbodu was inaugurated by the State governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.
