Wrestling icon Terry Gene Bollea, popularly known as Hulk Hogan, has passed away at the age of 71.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) confirmed the death of Hulk Hogan via X on Thursday.
“WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognisable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s.
“WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans,” WWE stated.
Hulk was pronounced dead at Morton Plant Hospital after suffering “cardiac arrest” at his Clearwater, Florida home early Thursday morning.
Police and fire personnel were dispatched to his home before he was rushed to the hospital. Hogan was seen being taken on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance.
