Chinese citizen who killed Nigerian lover gives own account

Chinese citizen who hacked a Nigerian lady to death has stated reasons why he committed the crime.

A 47-year-old man whose names has been given as Geng Quangrong explained further that he felt betrayed by his lover Ummu Kulthum who jilted him after promising him marriage.

Quangrong was arrested by the Nigerian police shortly after perpetrating the heinous act on Friday, September 16.

It was gathered that, Quangrong stormed the deceased home after scaling the fence and stabbed Kulthum to death in Kabuga Quarters, Dorayi Babba area of the State.

The suspect, who was arrested after he attacked and killed his 23-year-old girlfriend in her home (on Friday night), September 16, said he did it because he was betrayed.

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the suspect invaded the deceased home after scaling the fence to gain access and repeatedly stabbed her until she passed away.

Geng alleged that Ummu had promised to marry him, but later reneged on the promise after he had spent so much money on her.

The suspect claimed he was angered by Ummmu’s deception, and he decided to attack and kill her at her residence.

Kiyawa noted that the suspect will soon have his day in court.

Meanwhile, the Chinese community in Kano has condemned the act perpetrated by one of them.

According to the Chinese Business Community Association of Nigeria (CBCA) the law should take its course on the matter.
