Chiwetalu Agu, the veteran Nollywood actor, has taken to social media to mourn his colleague Tom Njemanze, who died after battling prostate cancer.
TheNewsGuru reports that the 69-year-old took via his verified Instagram page shared a video of himself paying tribute to the late movie star.
He captioned the video: “Rest in peace Tom Njemanze. I am deeply heartbroken by the passing of my friend and colleague in the industry. Tom Njemanze you were more than just a colleague, you were a source of inspiration to so many.
“Nollywood has lost a rare gem, but your legacy will continue to live on in the stories you told, through the roles you brought to life and the memories we shared. May your soul find eternal rest and may God grant your families and loved ones the fortitude to bear their loss. Sleep well Tom, God loves you more.”
Recall that Tom Njemanze, died on Friday, July 18 in Owerri, Imo State. Popular filmmaker Stanley Ontop, had earlier appealed for financial support for the actor’s treatment.
Until his death, Njemanze had been battling prostate cancer, a condition that led to calls from industry colleagues for help with his medical bills.
