Chris Brown, American singer, has pleaded not guilty to fresh charges connected to an assault case.
TheNewsGuru recalls that the fight happened in a London nightclub on February 19, 2023.
Brown, alongside another US citizen, Omololu Akinlolu, aka HoodyBaby, were accused of attacking a man with a bottle at Tape, a private club in Hanover Square, during Brown’s UK tour.
During his UK tour, Chris Brown was involved in an incident at Nover Square. The victim reportedly suffered injuries after being struck with a bottle and was subsequently chased, punched, and kicked.
In court on Friday, Brown denied charges of causing actual bodily harm and carrying a bottle as a weapon in public. He had previously pleaded not guilty to a more serious charge of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent. Akinlolu also pleaded not guilty to the same charges.
Brown was arrested in Manchester in May 2025, shortly after arriving in the UK. He was held in custody for several days before being released on bail. Currently, he is out on bail set at £5 million and must return for future court sessions to avoid losing the bail money.
Despite the ongoing court case, Brown is permitted to continue his world tour, which began in Amsterdam on June 8. The next court hearing is scheduled for October 24.
