Fast-rising Nigerian comedian, Obia Uchechukwu Divine, popularly known as Funnyurch, is set to host his first-ever comedy special titled ‘That Aba Boy”, with the theme Dreams & Thoughts.
The highly anticipated event, scheduled to take place on September 7 at Terra Kulture in Lagos, promises an unforgettable evening of laughter, culture, and entertainment.
The show will feature performances from top comedy icons, including Alibaba, Oghehe Oghene, and Iykomo.

Funnyurch, who hails from Abia State, has grown from performing on local stages to becoming an internationally recognised entertainer.
Speaking ahead of the show, he shared his passion for comedy:
“I just want to make an impact in the world, and the best way I know is through laughter. Laughter heals the heart. Nothing gives me more joy than seeing people laugh at my jokes, that’s my passion, and it keeps me going,” he said.
His journey has been marked by resilience and versatility. After honing his craft at comedy clubs, Funnyurch broke into mainstream entertainment with his role as Innocent in the popular TV sitcom Flatmates.
In recent years, he has taken Nigerian comedy global, performing in Sierra Leone and across the United Kingdom, in cities such as London, Manchester, Liverpool, and Newcastle. He has graced prestigious venues including Hot Water Comedy Club (Liverpool), Big Belly Comedy Club (London), and Up the Creek Comedy Club (London).
During his UK tour, Funnyurch recorded a mini comedy special that has since earned him multiple nominations at international film festivals. At the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF), he received six nominations across various categories, including Best Stand-Up Comedy, Best Comedy Performance (International), Best Comedy Performance, and Best Comedy Ensemble. Similarly, at the Brampton International Nollywood Film Festival, his mini special was nominated for Best Mini Comedy Special.
With That Aba Boy, Funnyurch is set to bring his unique brand of humour, fresh perspectives, and energetic stagecraft to the Nigerian audience in a way they’ve never experienced before.
