The Inter-Party Advisory Council, Delta State, has cautioned all political parties particularly Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and his loyalists to stay away from act capable of causing chaos in the state.
Addressing journalists in Asaba, the IPAC chairman, Prince Henry Eze, condemned the one-million-man march organised by supporters of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, describing it as unlawful and unruly.
He noted that the march was marred by threats, intimidation, and inflammatory remarks, which contravened the electoral acts and the IPAC code of conduct.
He also condemned the videos of supporters alleging inciting violence now circulating on social media, noting that such act is undemocratic and is capable of destabilising the state.
“I urge you to resolve and warn as follows. 1. That IPAC-Delta State chapter frowns deeply at the unruly one-million-man march organised by supporters of Senator Omo-Agege on the 25th of August 2025, in the state.
“The sharply organised march, which was characterised by threats, intimidation, and invectives, clearly contravenes the electoral acts and the IPAC code of conduct for political parties.
” That the resort to uncouth language, such as we saw in the video already in circulation on social media, falls short of democratic standards and norms and should be condemned by men of good conscience.
“The supporters of Omo-Agege apparently preached violence in their march and this is unacceptable and clearly undemocratic.
“The chairman accused some Omo-Agege supporters of primitive displays of desperation and naked hunger for power while undermining the peace currently being enjoyed in Delta State.
“The chairman is also worried on the silence of the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies, warning that failure to act could entrench lawlessness.
He called on President Bola TInubu, INEC, and security agencies to immediately call Omo-Agege and his supporters to order to prevent the breakdown of law and order in Delta State.
He said “INEC is the umpire for all political parties during the election and should know better that time for campaigns has not been authorised and ought to call the supporters of OmoAgege and his political party to order for violating the INEC guidelines and the electoral acts and sanction them in accordance with the law.
IPAC reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and political harmony while remaining vigilant as the 2027 election approaches, ensuring that all political actors survive by due process and democratic norms.
