Nigerian disc jockey Sarah Oboh, popularly known as DJ Dope Caesar, has taken to social media to debunk reports of her death that surfaced online.
The rumors, which began circulating an hour ago, claimed that the celebrated DJ had passed away after a prolonged battle with an undisclosed illness, sparking widespread concern among fans and music enthusiasts across platforms like X.
The post reads: ”Ahhhh, #DopeCaesar, why? Too soon. So sad. Dope Caesar.”
However, reacting to the rumor, the popular DJ via her official Instagram and X accounts (@dopecaesar), on Monday, August 11th addressed the misinformation directly, reassuring her audience that she is alive, healthy, and actively pursuing her career.
“I’m right here, very much alive, and I’m not going anywhere,” she said with her signature energy, laughing off the rumors while expressing gratitude for the outpouring of love and concern from her fans.
She also urged the public to verify information before spreading it, emphasizing the emotional toll such false reports can take on her family and supporters.
The false reports, which originated from unverified online sources, claimed that close relatives had confirmed her passing, though no official statement from her management was provided at the time.
