The Edo-born politician made this statement while granting an interview on Arise TV on Wednesday.
The former APC National Chairman said Nigerians should stop blaming Tinubu for issues with Buhari’s government.
Oshiomhole stressed that the former Lagos State Governor has never held any position in Buhari’s government, adding that the former Lagos Governor has never taken a contract or been part of this government.
He said: “I think in appropriating or apportioning blame or crediting people, you will look at their role.
“It is a fact that Tinubu himself co-founded the APC. But he never participated in governance.
“He never held any position in government. He didn’t carry out any contract on behalf of the government. So how can you credit him either way?
“You cannot say someone who never in any way participated in government be credited with the outcome of government policy or be blamed for same.”
Adams Oshiomhole is the Edo North Senatorial candidate of the APC for the 2023 general elections in the country.
Mr. Oshiomhole scored 309 votes to pick the APC ticket while his opponent, the incumbent senator, Francis Alimikhena, polled five votes at the party primary election held in Auchi, Edo State, on Saturday.
