Tolu Bankole, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) and the party’s National Leader of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), has called on Nigerians to draw inspiration from the message of Easter, emphasizing hope, sacrifice, and national renewal.
In a heartfelt Easter message released on Friday, Bankole congratulated Christians in Nigeria and across the world, describing the season as a powerful reminder of Christ’s triumph over death and the enduring strength of faith and unity.
Quoting from the Book of Luke 24:6-7 – “He is not here; he has risen!” – Bankole urged Nigerians to reflect on the deeper meaning of Easter and to embrace its core values of compassion, love, and selflessness.
“This sacred season calls us as a people to embrace the values of love, compassion, and selflessness,” he said. “In the spirit of Easter, I urge all Nigerians to reflect on our shared humanity, live peaceably with one another, and commit to building a more united and prosperous nation.”
The APC chieftain also expressed optimism about the future of the country under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting the administration’s ongoing efforts to revive the economy and improve the lives of ordinary citizens.
According to Bankole, President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is already making significant progress through targeted policies in agriculture, infrastructure, MSMEs, education, and social investment programmes.
“Through deliberate, people-centered policies, the APC-led government is laying a sustainable foundation for inclusive growth and long-term prosperity,” he stated.
Bankole reaffirmed his full support for the administration’s vision and encouraged citizens to remain hopeful and resilient as the country moves toward a brighter future.
“May this Easter bring peace to our hearts, unity to our nation, and renewed hope for a greater Nigeria,” he concluded.
