Edosomwan emerges GCUOBA Lagos president

Chief Charles Uwensuyi Edosomwan, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, has been elected as the President of the Lagos branch of Govern­ment College Ughelli Old Boys Association (GCUOBA).

At the recently concluded annual general meeting of the GCUOBA, Lagos branch, a new Executive Council was elected to guide the branch forward. And, Uwensuyi Edosomwan, SAN, as the President, marking a new chapter in the branch’s leadership.

The new president stands as a distinguished Senior Ad­vocate of Nigeria, celebrated for his profound legal acumen, his noteworthy contributions to the legal landscape, and robust academic credentials, is expect­ed to take the branch to a new enviable height.

In his inaugural speech, Chief Edosomwan expressed profound gratitude to the mem­bers of GCUOBA, Lagos branch, for entrusting him and his exec­utive team with the leadership of the branch.

He emphasised that the new executive would concentrate on serving the association and its members, prioritising their welfare while fostering collab­oration to fulfill the strategic objectives of the branch.

The president will run the affairs of the branch with the newly elected executive coun­cil which comprises Okosub­ide Mozimo as Vice President; Stephen Ighofose as Secretary; Oghenemaro Akpotoboro as As­sistant Secretary; Igho Awhotu as Financial Secretary; Good­will Iyamu as Treasurer; and Lawson Abanum as Publicity Secretary.

Additionally, the council in­cludes Pastor Daniel Ekoko, im­mediate past President/Ex-Of­ficio 1; Paul Karika, Ex-Officio 2; Mike Madagwa, Ex-Officio 3); and Pastor Egra Akpofure, Ex-Officio 4.

Members of the branch ex­pressed their satisfaction with the newly elected members of the executive council, assuring them of their commitment and support throughout their ten­ure.
