Former Tottenham and Paris Saint Germain head coach, Mauricio Pochettino is in line to land Chelsea coaching job.
Talks between Pochettino and Chelsea’s management has reached an advanced stage and he could be signing the dotted lines any moment from now.
Should the Argentine land the job he would be joined by his four close confidants at Stamford Bridge.
According to The Times, Pochettino would be going to Stamford with his assistant and head of conditioning Jesus Perez, first-team coach Miguel D’Agostino, goalkeeper coach, Toni Jimenez and his son, Sebastiano, a sports scientist.
Perez, D’Agostino and Jimenez have been at the side of the Argentine for most of his managerial career.
They were with him at Southampton and Tottenham and followed him to Paris Saint-Germain in 2021.
The Argentine has emerged as favourite to become the new boss at Chelsea and is said to be in advanced talks with the club’s owners.
His deal to take over from Frank Lampard could be completed as early as this week
The 51-year-old has been without a job since his sack by PSG last year.
