Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has revealed the difference between star forward Erling Haaland and big names in football like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Halaand’s career has blossomed upon joining English Premier League (EPL) side Manchester City in the current season after scoring 30 goals in his first 26 appearances for the Citizens.
Halaand scored a brace against Southampton on Saturday at the St Mary’s stadium to take his tally in all competitions this season to 44 goals.
Messi and Ronaldo have over 800 career goals each and are still playing into their late thirties.
Guardiola has now warned Haaland that he has a long way to go to match the two greats.
“I think Messi is a more complete player. He can play wherever because he understands the game.
“The other two, Cristiano and Haaland, are like a machine. But Erling knows the other two guys have dominated for two decades, not just one year,” Guardiola said.
