Manchester United put the 2-2 draw against Leeds United few days ago behind them to secure all three points against them on Sunday afternoon at Elland Road.
Leeds looked set to record a historic win at Old Trafford when taking a 2-0 lead on Wednesday night, but Marcus Rashford got his side back into the game on the hour mark and substitute Jadon Sancho produced an equalizer shortly after.
However, on Sunday afternoon, two Late goals from Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho earned Manchester United a hard-fought 2-0 Premier League victory at Leeds on Sunday.
Erik ten Hag’s team continued to struggle to break down the dogged hosts until the in-form Rashford headed home his 21st goal of the season in all competitions to finally break the Leeds resistance in the 80th minute.
Substitute Garnacho took advantage to put the game to bed five minutes from time, racing clear before firing home.
The result meant the Red Devils are now second on the log pending the result of Manchester City versus Aston Villa later on Sunday evening.
