Saturday August 12, 2023 will forever be in the memory of Nigeria and Nottingham Forest striker, Taiwo Awoniyi as he recorded three big celebrations to his name.
The lanky forward celebrated his birthday on the day before scoring his side’s only goal against Arsenal.
Awoniyi started the game on the bench as the Gunners cruised to a comfortable 2-0 lead.
In the 71st minute, Awoniyi was introduced for Danilo to help spark Nottingham back into the game.
With the goal, Awoniyi became only the second Nottingham Forest player to score in five consecutive Premier League appearances since Stan Collymore did the same 28 years ago.
Later in the day, Awoniyi’s wife put to bed for the couple’s second child.
In viral photos on social media, Awoniyi wears a Nottingham Forest training kit as he holds his son.
