English clubside, Arsenal have informed Napoli they will not meet Victor Osimhen’s €130 million (£110.8m) release clause.
According to the Gunners, Osimhen’s relese clause is too high.
It would be recalled that Gunners boss, Mikel Arteta is really hinged on adding a striker to his squad after narrowly missing out on the Premier League title last season.
However, one of the names on his list is believed to be RB Leipzig striker, Benjamin Sesko, and is available due to his €65m (£55.2m) release clause.
Sky Sports Italy report that although Arsenal rate Osimhen highly, they are unwilling to do a deal due to the high costs involved.
Napoli are willing to sell Osimhen, but the club’s president, Aurelio de Laurentiis, is holding out for a team that will pay the €130m (£110.8m) clause.
The Serie A club has received no concrete proposals so far, and while Saudi Pro League clubs could afford such a high fee, Osimhen is keen on remaining in Europe.
