Ex Buhari’s aide gives fresh update on former president’s  health

Former Special Assistant on Digital Media, Bashir Ahmad, has dismissed reports suggesting that former President Muhammadu Buhari is critically ill and has been admitted to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Ahmad, in a statement released on Thursday via the microblogging platform, X formerly Twitter,  set the record straight regarding the health condition of the ex-Nigerian leader.

“In light of the recent media reports suggesting that former President Muhammadu Buhari is critically ill and has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), we find it necessary to set the record straight,” Ahmad said.

While confirming that Buhari is currently unwell and receiving medical attention, Ahmad emphasized that the reports of a critical condition are exaggerated.

“It is true that former President Buhari is unwell and is currently receiving medical attention.

“However, contrary to the exaggerated claims circulating in the media, he is stable and responding well to treatment,” he explained.

Ahmad expressed optimism about Buhari’s recovery and gratitude to Nigerians and well-wishers worldwide for their support and prayers.

“We are optimistic about his full recovery. We appreciate the outpouring of prayers and goodwill from his supporters and well-wishers around the world.

“We continue to pray for his complete and speedy recovery. Thank you!” he added.
