There have been severe traffic obstructions following the famous Alapere pedestrian bridge collapse in Lagos state on Friday.
It was said to have collapsed when a truck conveying a container along the Ojota -Oworonsoki Highway hit the bridge on one side, causing it to collapse completely.

However, reports have it that officials of the Lagos State Transport Management Agency led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transport, Sola Giwa, made spirited efforts to clear the debris to allow for the free traffic flow.
