Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has commended Acting President Yemi Osinbajo for ordering the overhauling of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a unit of the police.
The acting president had, in a statement on Tuesday, directed the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, to immediately overhaul the unit.
Reacting in a post on his Twitter page, the PDP chieftain also urged Osinbajo to order the arrest and prosecution of those allegedly committing ethnic cleansing.
Fani-Kayode wrote: “I commend @ProfOsinbajo for ordering the investigation of human rights violations by SARS and its overhauling.
“Let us see how far it goes.I urge him to go a step further by ordering the arrest and prosecution of those that commit ethnic cleansing and genocide against our people.”
