FIFA Ranking: Super Eagles drop to 40th in the world, 6th in Africa

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have dropped five positions in the latest FIFA world rankings.

According to the rankings released by FIFA, Super Eagles dropped to the 40th position and 6th  in Africa.

However, Jose Peseiro’s side are currently occupying the 6th position in Africa while Morocco are number one in Africa and now the 11th best team in the world.

Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt and Nigeria are the top six teams in Africa.

Argentina is the number one best team in the world, followed by France, Brazil, Belgium, England, Netherlands, Croatia, Italy, Portugal and Spain, making the top 10.

Others that made the list from 11-20 positions are Morocco, Switzerland, USA, Germany, Mexico, Uruguay, Colombia, Senegal, Denmark and Japan.
