Fire guts plank market near LPG gas station

A fire has been reported near a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) station in the Badia Railway area of Apapa, Lagos State.

According to reports, the fire began near the Plank Market, directly behind the LPG gas station, around 12:35 PM.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), which confirmed the incident, reported that emergency responders are currently conducting rescue operations at the scene.

Additionally, LASTMA personnel are directing vehicles away from the affected area.

“Report of a fire outbreak at Badia Railway, near the Plank Market, behind the LPG gas station.

“Firefighters and other emergency responders are already on the scene carrying out rescue operations.

“Our personnel are also on ground to manage and facilitate traffic flow around the affected area,” LASTMA stated on X.
