Former Vice president, Namadi Sambo loses elder brother

The elder brother of former Vice President, Mohammed Namadi Sambo, Suleiman Sambo, is dead.

TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) gathered that Suleiman passed away on Monday at the age of 82 after a long illness.

Suleiman is survived by his wife, 11 children, 52 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren.

During his career, he served in the Department of Government Printing within the defunct Ministry of Information and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, retiring as a Chief Superintendent in 1994 after 35 years of dedicated service.

Alhaji Suleiman Sambo was a respected community and religious leader whose impact was celebrated by many at his funeral, held at the Bashama Road Cemetery.

The burial service which was attended by family members, relatives, and sympathizers, including former Vice President Namadi Sambo, as well as religious and traditional leaders.

The Chief Imam of Kaduna Polytechnic Central Mosque, Ustaz Sadiq Yusuf, while leading the funeral rites, urged Muslims to commit themselves to the worship of Allah and to contribute positively to their communities.

He also remembered Alhaji Suleiman Sambo for his dedication to religious tolerance and peacebuilding during his lifetime.
