Nigeria’s U-15 team, Future Eagles have reached the final of the football event of the 3rd African Youth Games (AYG) in Algiers with a 2-0 win over hosts Algeria on Wednesday.
Adeleke Tobi put the defending champions ahead from the penalty kick spot, before John Shirsha doubled the lead in the semi-final game played at the August 20 Stadium.
In the other semi-final, Morocco beat Cameroon at the Sidi Moussa Stadium to set up a re-match with the Nigerians, who defeated them 3-2 in their opening game.
Nigeria won the football gold medal at the last edition of the AYG in Gaborone, Botswana in 2014.
