Amidst the expectation of Nigerians, the National Assembly resumed plenary after the Christmas break but the resumption is short leaved with the demise of Hon. Ossy Prestige the member representing Aba North/South Federal Constituency of Abia state under the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila made the formal announcement shortly after he was ushered into the chamber to begin plenary on Tuesday.
Gbajabiamila noted that a valedictory session will be held soon in respect of the deceased member whom he described as a great man and a fighter as a minute silence as observed in his honour.
The speaker also promised that the house on full resumption tomorrow will focus on three major but very important bills which are the constitution amendment bill, the petroleum Industry bill and the electoral act amendment bill.
