The Internally Displaced Persons, (IDP) camp situated at the LGEA Primary School Mgban, in Nyiev Council Ward of Guma Local Government Area of Benue State was yesterday thrown into pandemonium when gunmen stormed the place and killed scores of people.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Friday night when the assailants invaded the camp and opened fire on the occupants.
Nathaniel Ikyur the chief Press Secretary to the state governor ,Samuel Ortom, disclosed the incident to press men on Saturday morning.
He said about 35 corpses have been recovered from the scene while several others were seriously injured.
