In a post shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, Njoku said she had no issue with the airline offloading the passenger if necessary, but condemned the alleged act of stripping her and circulating the footage online.

“I understand removing her from the plane; that’s not the issue.

“What I cannot understand is stripping her while doing so and then putting it all over the internet,” she said.

“Airline or airport staff are trained professionals, and I refuse to believe that dehumanizing someone, stripping a woman naked, and broadcasting it online is part of that training, no matter what crime she may have committed,” Njoku said.

She stressed that the passenger deserves compensation for the “damage done to her life and dignity.”

Simi Calls For Prosecution of Airport Staff Who Leaked Indecent Video

Nigerian recording artiste, Simi, has demanded sanctions against the airport staff who released a video showing Ibom Air passenger Comfort Emmanson’s indecent exposure.

Simi, via her Instagram story, questioned the fairness of punishing Emmanson for her behavior while ignoring the actions of those who recorded and shared the video without editing out the indecent parts.

The singer emphasized that sharing the video without blurring out Emmanson’s private parts was an invasion of her privacy and deserved punishment.

Someone recorded her being dragged off the plane, recorded her being exposed like that, and then posted it without editing out this exposure or blurring it out. I personally want to know who posted that video and why no one is holding him/her accountable. Because they will face the law.”

But voluntarily posting her half-naked for millions of people to see when less than 10 people actually witnessed it in the first place deserves punishment too because you cannot condemn one madness and leave another one,” she said.

‘Manhandled Due To Gender’- Jacky Madu

Big Brother Naija star, Jacky Madu, has weighed in on the viral incident involving the female passenger.

In a series of posts, Jacky condemned the airline’s handling of the situation, calling for Comfort to sue. She alleged that the incident was a case of gender-based mistreatment, comparing it to past cases where women in similar disputes faced unfair consequences.

“I hope Comfort sues Ibom Air into bankruptcy. Foolish airline”

“The only reason Comfort was manhandled is that she is a woman. At no point did the men who came in try to de-escalate the situation.”

Jacky also criticised those who recorded and shared footage of the passenger, which reportedly exposed her breasts, calling the act shameful.

“And whoever recorded that girl and posted an exposed breast may the heavens and the earth work against you,” She said

She went on saying:

“I am so hurt by all this. At what point do women get treated fairly in Nigeria?”
