Insecurity: Pastor Adefarasin advises members to get a plan B to leave Nigeria

It is mischief – Pastor Adefarasin reacts over viral firearm video

Senior Pastor and Founder of House on the Rock church headquartered in Lagos State, Paul Adefarasin has reacted over a viral video of him supposedly bearing a firearm.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Pastor Adefarasin to have said what he was holding as captured in the viral video was not a weapon.

In a statement released on Saturday via social media, Adefarasin denied the allegation and described the viral video as mischief.

“You might be aware of a video which has been circulating on social media showing me in what some have misunderstood as brandishing a firearm.

“I want to assure you of this that, that was certainly not a firearm, and at no point did I point such at anyone.

“We understand the concern that this accusation may have caused,” Adefarasin wrote while noting that he would further address the matter on Sunday.

Recall that a content creator shared a video of the House on the Rock pastor on social media on Friday.

Pastor Adefarasin was captured in the 10-second video driving a black Range Rover. He slowed near the content creator, and the tinted window rolled down.

The content creator was heard greeting Adefarasin, but the pastor appears to respond sternly while holding what some viewers interpreted as a pistol.

The content creator quickly apologised as Adefarasin drove off.

The video started trending on social media after the Lagos-based content creator known for filming luxury and exotic cars posted it.

The content creator claimed the 62-year-old clergyman pointed a gun at him.
