Ahuja Bello, one of Nigeria’ oldest Juju music stars, has reportedly died at 83, a day after birthday.
TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that the veteran singer passed away in the early hours of Sunday, August 25, 2024, according to a statement issued by his son, Adetunji Bello.
His death came just a day after he marked his 83rd birthday.
Born Ismaila Dele Bello on August 24, 1942, in Iseyin, Oyo State, Ahuja Bello became one of the most celebrated Juju musicians of his time.
He was not only a singer but also a guitarist and the leader of a successful band that made waves across Nigeria and beyond in the 1970s and 1980s.
