At least 9 children, 16 men and 32 women have been abducted by bandits, in the early hours of Thursday, at Agunu Dutse community, Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
It was gathered that one person sustained a gunshot injury during the abduction, at about 1 am.
Confirming the incident, a resident, Philp John, explained that the bandits invaded the community on foot and took seven vantage positions while shooting sporadically to scare the locals.
John noted that the bandits came in large numbers.
He explained that the Community was two kilometres away from Akada Barracks.
“The villagers could not repel them because of the kind of sophisticated weapons they were using. Contact is yet to be established by the kidnappers,” John posited.
