Kwara govt reopens Ilorin schools after closure

Kwara issues deadline for registration of creches or face closure

The Kwara State Ministry of Social Development has directed all schools operating creches to register or renew their registration before June 30.

The Commissioner for Social Development, Hajia Mariam Nnafatima Imam gave the order in a statement on Saturday in Ilorin.

She said that after the June 30 deadline, operators of unregistered creches would face substantial fines, immediate closure, and legal penalties.

Imam said that a taskforce constituted would go round schools in the state to ensure strict compliance.

She advised parents to enroll their children only in properly registered creches for their safety and wellbeing.

”Prioritise your child’s future and report any unregistered facilities,” the comissioner advised parents.
