Kolade Alabi, the Chairman of Bariga Local Government Area in Lagos State, on Wednesday slumped during a stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held at the party’s secretariat in Ikeja.
TheNewsGuru reports that Alab was addressing party members when he suddenly slumped, causing a brief moment of panic. He was, however, quickly revived taken to a hospital in an ambulance for further medical care.
Following his prompt recovery, party members have expressed relief and wished him a speedy return to good health.
There’s currently tension within the Lagos chapter of the APC over allegations of candidate imposition ahead of the July 12 local government elections in the state, the party’s Electoral Committee had scheduled a stakeholders’ meeting for Wednesday.
The meeting, which was held at the APC State Secretariat on Acme Road, Ogba, came amid growing concerns among party loyalists and aspirants over the transparency of the party’s selection process for chairmanship and councillorship positions.
