A Nigerian couple has gone viral after opting for a non-traditional look for their white wedding, ditching the traditional white gown and suit.
In the photos that became a growing sensation, the couple who held the ceremony in a church on foreign is seen rocking Isiagwu for their white wedding.
Explainer: The Isiagu ([Leopard head] In English) is a highly prestigious attire that is worn by the Igbo people, which signifies power, authority, and pride. It holds a significant cultural and symbolic value for the Igbo people. It is typically worn on special occasions, such as weddings and coronation ceremonies.
While the groom donned the native attire, accentuating it with a red bead, the beautiful bride also rocked the attire, looking gorgeous.
The photo has since sparked mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media who commended the couple for embracing culture for their white wedding.
