President Bola Tinubu and ex-Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, are presently in a meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Sanusi, who recently returned from Niger Republic, where he was given a red carpet reception after diplomatic entreaties failed held talks with the military junta that had taken control from democratically elected President Muhamad Bazoum, arrived at the Presidential Villa around 8:25 pm.
This was just after a prominent delegation of the Nigeria Islamic Ulama had concluded their meeting with the President. When inquired about his purpose for visiting Niger, the former Emir responded with a brief statement indicating that everything was in order.
As of the time of reporting, the meeting between Sanusi and the President was still ongoing.
