Nigeria’s Amusan beaten again, finishes second behind Jasmine Camacho-Quinn

World record holder and Nigeria’s track queen, Tobi Amusan could only manage a second-place finish in the 100m hurdles event at the Lausanne Diamond League on Friday.

Her closest rival Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico won the race with a time of 12.40s.

Amusan clocked a time of 12.47s equaling her personal best for the season.

The third position went to Tia Jones, who ran a time of 12.51s.

It was a slight improvement from Amusan, who finished in third position behind Camacho-Quinn and Tia at the continental tour event in Ostra on Tuesday.

The trio will battle again in Stockholm on Sunday.

Amusan will be hoping to hit top form before defending her title at the World Athletics Championship later this year in Budapest.
