The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has disclosed that parts of Delta State, Lagos State and the federal capital territory (FCT), amongst others will witness thunderstorms on Monday.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports NiMet made the disclosure in its weather outlook issued on Sunday and valid from 00:00 to 23:59 on 24th February 2025.
Other States of the federation the agency predicted to witness the thunderstorms are Enugu, Benue, Kogi, Ondo, Rivers and Akwa Ibom.
“Strong winds may precede the rain in areas where thunderstorms are likely to occur, public should take adequate precaution,” the agency stated.
NiMet, therefore advised airline operators and the public to get updated weather reports and forecasts from its website and social media handle for effective planning in their operations.
“Adhere to safety advisories issued by relevant authorities,” it added.
