Oborevwori’s sterling performance endeared him to Tinubu-Orodje of Okpe

The Orodje of Okpe kingdom and Chairman,Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, HRM, Major-General Felix Majakperuo,Orhue I, (rtd) has said Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s sterling performance attracted the attention of president Bola Tinubu to the delight of Deltans.

In a special interview in his palace at Orerokpe, in Okpe local government area,against the background of Oborevwori’s two years in office ,the Orodje said
President Tinubu is happy with the governor.

The monarch also noted that the Federal Minister of Works, Engineer David Umahi calls him “action governor” while ordinary Deltans on the streets love him” reflecting impressive performance.

“The Asagba of Asaba,Obi Professor Epiphany Azinge recently quoted the President to have described, His Excellency Rt.Hon.Sheriff Oborevwori as a progressive governor. I also recall that the Minister for Works at the flag off of the access road to the second Niger bridge, said Governor Oborevwori has turned Delta State into a massive construction site”

The monarch noted that he is proud of Oborevwori as a “good son”.

According to the Orodje, the governor, who is one of his illustrious subjects in Okpe kingdom, distinguished himself because he is detribalised and open in the service of all Deltans.

He said he was optimistic that Deltans across the five major ethnic groups in the state will reelect Governor Oborevwori for a second term in 2027,based on merit, precedence and divine grace.

He said the existing power rotation order in Delta favoured Oborevwori and avowed that his eight year tenure was nonnegotiable.

On the character of Oborevwori, the Orodje said he is a blunt, sincere man who never pretends or deceives in his relationship with people.

The traditional ruler said royal blessings and positive thoughts were upon Oborevwori in his governorship journey ahead.
