Vice President Yemi Osinbajo mounted ice-cream and pop corn spots at the Eagle Square venue of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Convention ground.
Findings show that ice cream and popcorn are being shared free of charge to delegates and other officials on demand for it.
Recall that a former governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima had described Osinbajo as a nice man who should be selling confectionery like Ice-Cream and popcorn instead of vying for a presidential post.
Shettima made the statement when granting an interview on a political platform on Channels TV
“Osinbajo is a good man; he’s a nice man. But nice men do not make good leaders, because nice men tend to be nasty. Nice men should be selling popcorn, ice cream.”
Shettima had since retracted his statement and tendered an unreserved apology.
Osinbajo is a leading aspirant vying for the APC presidential ticket ahead of the forthcoming general elections billed to hold in February 2023.
