The presidential candidate of the Labour Party(LP) in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi has taken to social media to announce his resumption to public engagements following a brief medical rest.
TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) recalls that the former Anambra governor had disclosed via X last week Saturday, disclosed that he was feeling unwell during an engagement.
“Earlier in Enugu, I was not feeling well. I visited the hospital where the doctor gave me some medication and advised me to take a day or two days rest.
In obedience to the doctor’s advice, I will not be able to meet up with all my scheduled engagements within and outside the country this weekend,” Peter Obi wrote.
The former Anambra State governor further who noted that his doctor advised him to suspend activities for a few days, in a post on Tuesday announced he had returned to work and honoured a promise to visit a small business.
He said, “I resumed my many engagements yesterday, and I started by honouring a promise to visit an SME business owned by someone I met during the course of my activities, and I was truly delighted to listen to the owner.”
The 64-year-old had explained that he was unwell while in Enugu and was advised by his doctor to rest.
He wrote at the time, “Earlier in Enugu, I was not feeling well. I visited the hospital where the doctor gave me some medication and advised me to take a day or two days rest. In obedience to the doctor’s advice, I will not be able to meet up with all my scheduled engagements within and outside the country this weekend. I sincerely apologise for any inconveniences this might cause and humbly plead for understanding”, he wrote.
