Acts of Christ Theological Seminary, an affiliate of Jerusalem University College Rockford, IL USA over the weekend held its 23rd graduation ceremony.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the seminary held the graduation ceremony at the Chapel of Light, Lagos State University (LASU), Lagos State.
Speaking during the graduation ceremony, the Guest Speaker, Apostle (Dr.) Patrick Uturu emphasized on the need for concentration and certification of ministers.
According to Apostle Uturu, ministers are to recognize that they are servants of God and should have the necessary integrity and ability to preach the true gospel and avoid anarchy and hypocrisy.
“You can not be preaching to people to desist from something related to sin and you are soaked with the preached sin. God fearing ministers must concentrate and be certified by purging themselves of things of worldliness,” Uturu said.
The Guest Speaker went on to advise the graduating students to be disciplined, and filled with wisdom, courage, integrity, endurance and faithfulness while discharging their duties.
He concluded by asking the graduating students to emulate and adhere to the good work of the Director of the Acts of Christ Theological Seminary, Rev Hyacinth Anie, whom he described as an exemplary leader, who God has been using.
Meanwhile, Rev Anie during the graduation ceremony acknowledged the presence of every dignitary and persons present for the auspicious event.
According to the elated Director, the college graduation could not hold last year as a result of the pandemic, coupled with other circumstances that surrounded the year, Anie explained.
“So, this is a double celebration. Besides, to be sincere no international donor or corporate organization has assisted the college, only some old graduates that came to sow seed. We have been steadfast and operating by faith. And the bible college has been distinguished from others because we operate to international standards,” the Director said.
Anie subsequently called out the graduating students and they were presented with certificates of various categories ranging from certificate class, diploma, Bachelor of Arts, Master Degree and Ph.D of Acts in Theology.
He advised the graduating students to go into the world and preach the true gospel, asking the graduates from certificate class not to relent efforts in proceeding to the next level.
Rev Anie concluded by saying “the major challenges currently being faced by the college is how to relocate it from the rented apartment to build the God given site recently acquired”.
Highlight of the event was the presentation of various categories of awards to deserving students for quality leadership, punctuality, resourcefulness, neatness, and amongst others.
