Popular Nigerian evangelist witch hunter drags attacker to court, demands 200bn

Founder and head of the African Evangelical franchise Liberty Foundation Gospel Ministries, Evangelist Helen Ukpabio, and her daughter, Imaobong Elijah have sued Nigerian singer, Emoseh Khamofu, aka Bloody Civilian N200bn over ‘reckless, satanic, and libelous posts’ made against the popular Akwa Ibom based cleric.

TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that the fast-growing singer, Bloody Civilian had via the microblogging platform, X called out the preacher on her 60th birthday, accusing her of inciting violence against children, stating that she “literally made people burn their children alive”

In response, the Daughter of Nigerian witch hunter Imaobong, a journalist, gave the singer a five-hour ultimatum to take down the post.

Following the evangelist’s daughter’s response, Nigerians slammed her in retaliation and began to present hard evidence of the preacher’s controversial teachings, which allegedly led to the torture of children, including infants and toddlers suspected of being witches.

However, in a letter from their legal team, Victor Ukut & Co, seen on Sunday, November 24, 2024, mother and daughter demanded that the singer immediately retract the false libelous publications and tender a public apology.

The apology, according to the letter, should be published in ten Nigerian national dailies and international news media like  CNN, Aljazeera, Fox News.

The retraction of the false libelous publications should also be published on the internet via her social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter).
