Presidency speaks on Tinubu’s return to Nigeria after BRICS summit

President Bola Tinubu is set to return to Nigeria, today, Saturday, 12th July, 2025.

TheNewsGuru reports that the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga confirmed this in a statement on the microblogging platform, X formerly known as Twitter.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu returns to Abuja today after his two-nation visit to Saint Lucia and Brazil,” he wrote on his 𝕏 handle.

The statement from the presidency answers questions regarding the whereabouts of President Tinubu following the conclusion of the recently held BRICS summit in Brazil.

TNG reports that during the BRICS summit, President Tinubu embarked on an official trip to Saint Lucia.

On Saturday, June 28, 2025, he began a two-nation visit to Saint Lucia and Brazil.

The 17th BRICS Summit concluded on Monday, July 7, yet the Nigerian leader has not returned to the country, and there has been no official announcement regarding his whereabouts.
