President Trump ally, Charlie Krik fatally shot at U.S campus event

U.S right-wing activist and commentator Charlie Kirk, an influential ally of President Donald Trump, was fatally shot in the neck during a campus event at Utah Valley University, officials confirmed on Wednesday evening.

TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that Kirk, a close ally of President Donald Trump and founder of the conservative student group Turning Point USA, had been speaking at the university when the incident occurred.

Reacting to the incident, Trump, in a post on Truth Social, called for prayers for Kirk.

“We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM!” the president wrote.

Campus police said a “single shot was fired toward a visiting speaker,” adding that the suspect is now in custody.

Kash Patel, FBI Director confirmed agents were on their way to the scene, pledging the bureau’s full support for the ongoing investigation.

Charlie Kirk was a champion for conservative youth and a devoted Christian.

Former Utah congressman Jason Chaffetz, who was present, said the activist had just been asked a question about mass shootings when the bullet struck.

His wife, Erika Kirk posted a Bible verse just hours before he was shot at a Utah event:

“Psalm 46:1 – God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
