Omokri blasts Ezekwesili, calls her ‘hypocrite’

Former presidential media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, and bestselling author, Reno Omokri, has lambasted former education minister and convener of Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) group, Oby Ezekwesili, for criticizing President Muhammadu Buhari.

Omokri calls Ezekwesili hypocrite after the BBOG group convener criticized Buhari over his speech to Nigerians after his 104 days in London for an undisclosed ailment.

Omokri tweeted, “Someone tell @obyezeks that it is hypocritical to complain about a soup you helped cook just because you were not given you share! A parable”.

“Where are @obyezeks fellow #BringBackOurGirls colleagues? Are they not now holding juicy positions in President @MBuhari’s government?” he queried in another tweet.

Omokri was however, in agreement with Ezekwesili that President Buhari address to Nigerians upon his return did not address pressing issues in the country.

Ezekwesili had earlier tweeted “I can give an instant Citizen’s feedback to President @MBuhari that his Speech this morning was a terrible case of MISSED OPPORTUNITY” with Omokri tweeting “ASUU strike. Restructuring. Arewa Quit Noticers walking free. Yet your broadcast was about you and against your opposition #PerformorResign”.

“We’ve not seen you locally for 104 days and all we get is a 5 minute lecture on why others shouldn’t make inflammatory comments like you do!” Omokri also tweeted.

The former presidential media aide had earlier penned a ‘thank you’ note to the duo of Charly Boy and Deji Adeyanju, saying their resume or resign protest yielded results to force Buhari back to Nigeria.

He had also launched a #PerformorResign campaign on Twitter.
