Retired Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin has returned home to a beautiful reception from his wife and other members of his family.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the retirement and resignation of General Olonisakin was announced in a statement released by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity on January 26, 2021.
President Buhari accepted the immediate resignation of the Service Chief and Major-General Leo Irabor was announced as his replacement.
TNG reports General Olonisakin had since handed over to Major-General Irabor, the new Chief of Defence Staff.
Upon handing over, General Olonisakin recently drove home in a motorcade to a warm reception from his wife and members of his family with a fanfare.
